What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a feeling of unease, fear, and alarm about what's to come. It’s the body's natural response to stress and pressure. Types of Anxiety

Under the umbrella of ‘anxiety’, there are many different types that people can experience. Some of the major types include:

Agoraphobia

People who have agoraphobia have a strong fear of situations where it might be difficult to escape, such as leaving home to go to the supermarket. If they find themselves in such situations, they will most likely experience a panic attack. Naturally, they will avoid these places, and instead, for example, order their food shopping online.

Few drugs are used to control anxiety but misusing them or using for extended period can make it worse.

Medical Conditions

Some medical conditions, like heart problems, lungs, and thyroid problems, can also cause anxiety or further increase symptoms.

Brain Chemistry

Others claim that an anxiety disorder may be due to fault in a specific part of your brain’s ‘wiring’; the part that controls emotions and fear.
